Request an amateur radio call sign (private individuals) 

Service description

Request a personal call sign for amateur radio (call sign CEPT or NOVICE).

A licensee who been allocated a CEPT call sign is permitted to use radio equipment on all amateur radio frequency bands in the modes Morse code, telex, packet radio, radiotelephony, facsimile and television.

A licensee who been allocated a NOVICE call sign is permitted to use radio equipment on the amateur radio frequency bands in the modes Morse code, telex, packet radio, radiotelephony, facsimile and television.

Preconditions

To use this service, you must be registered in the DETEC eGovernment portal and hold a valid certificate of proficiency in amateur radio (CEPT or NOVICE).


If you have an HB3 NOVICE call sign, you must first relinquish it before applying for a new HB9 CEPT call sign.

Fees

For allocation of a call sign, an administrative fee of CHF 110.00 is charged. CHF 110.00
The annual administrative fee is then CHF 50.00, starting the year after allocation. CHF 50.00
