The Federal Electricity Commission (ElCom) is the independent state regulatory authority for the electricity sector. It monitors electricity tariffs, security of supply and electricity trading under the Electricity Supply Act (ESA). To do this, ElCom collects data on tariffs and cost accounting, switching rates (EDES), supply interruptions and minimum ICT standards (cybersecurity monitoring).
